About the Forum

The 8th AASP Pharmacy Education Forum brings together pharmacy educators, researchers, and academic leaders from across Asia and Australasia for two days of learning, sharing, and genuine connection.

Hosted by Monash University Malaysia on 3 and 4 December 2026, the Forum features keynote addresses, invited talks, panel discussions, and parallel scientific sessions spanning pharmacy practice, pharmaceutics, and pharmaceutical sciences. There is also a forum dinner on the evening of Day 1.

The theme this year is "Innovating Pharmacy Education: Bridging Tradition and Technology." It is a question that sits at the heart of what many of us are grappling with right now, and this Forum is a space to explore it together.

The Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (AASP) has connected pharmacy schools across Asia since 2001. We are proud to host this edition at Monash University Malaysia, and we look forward to welcoming you.

Call for Abstracts

We invite researchers, academics, and industry professionals to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations (presentation guidelines). Abstracts should highlight significant and original contributions within the scope of pharmacy practice, pharmacy education, pharmaceutical sciences, and related disciplines.

Important: Provisional abstract acceptance will be notified within 1 month after submission. Final acceptance is confirmed only after registration has been submitted.

The Nagai Foundation Travel Award supports outstanding student researchers to participate in the 8th AASP Pharmacy Education Forum 2026. Funded through the generous support of the Nagai Foundation Japan, this award provides financial assistance of RM 1,000 each to 16 selected students from developing or lower-income nations who have had an abstract accepted for oral or poster presentation. Recipients are selected based on the quality of their submitted abstract, academic merit, and research potential.

To apply, you will need to prepare:
Eligibility: Open to students from developing or lower-income nations who have a completed and paid conference registration and an accepted abstract.

  • Abstract Acceptance ID
  • Student ID Number
  • Country of Origin
  • Professional Development Statement (100–150 words): describing how attending the Forum will benefit your professional development and research
  • Curriculum Vitae (PDF): including your current academic programme, research experience and publications, conference presentations, and any scholarships or awards received
  • Institutional Support Letter: a signed letter from your Dean, Head of School, or equivalent authority confirming your enrolment, Student ID, and institutional endorsement
Please note: Applicants must declare that they will acknowledge Nagai Foundation support in their oral or poster presentation, and confirm their attendance at the opening ceremony to receive the award if selected. Award recipients are also encouraged to submit their paper to the Journal of the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (JAASP) for consideration for publication.

Presentation Guidelines

🎤 Oral Presentation
  • Prepare slides in 16:9 widescreen format (PowerPoint or PDF)
  • Presenters will be contacted by the organising committee to submit slides closer to the conference date
  • A laptop, laser pointer, and slide advancer will be provided at the podium
  • Mac users are advised to bring their own adaptor
  • Presentation slots and timing will be confirmed based on the final programme. Presenters will be notified via email
  • Smart casual attire or above is recommended
  • Session chairs will manage time and facilitate Q&A
📋 Poster Presentation
  • Poster size: A1 portrait (594 mm × 841 mm)
  • Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their own poster. On-site printing is not available
  • Mounting boards and adhesive strips will be provided
  • Minimum 24pt font size for body text to ensure readability at arm's length
  • Presenters must be present at their poster during the designated poster session (especially important for award judging)
  • All posters must be removed by the end of the conference

Guidelines apply to accepted presenters only. Notification of acceptance will be sent within 1 month of abstract submission.
